Introducing the Artists
Owner & Artist
BETSY CAMPBELL
Betsy studied Illustration at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan before jumping at the opportunity to do set design in Los Angeles. After returning to NY she began shifting her focus from 3 dimensional design to art outreach at the Long Island Children's Museum. It was then that the seed of a traveling art studio was planted.
The birth of Betsy's son deepened her passion for sharing art with children. The past 15 years have gifted Betsy with many unique opportunities to share her creativity with others. Most notably her work at Colonial Nursery School redesigning the indoor and outdoor learning spaces to create an immersive learning environment. In addition Betsy finds joy creating oil paintings, murals, interactive 3D displays and any other project that involves tinkering or building.

EMILY WARD
Owner & Artist
Emily has a BA in Art Education from the College of New Jersey. She taught art grades k-8 for 14 years in New Jersey. When her husband was relocated for work, they landed in Annapolis. Emily worked as a pre-k 4's teacher at Colonial Nursery School in Eastport for two years from 2016-2018. After welcoming her third child last May, she took a position as the Program Specialist. She loves to bring art into the lives of young children.
Her work at the nursery school ignited a love for early childhood education and allowed her passion for experiential learning to thrive. Emily believes that children are capable of creating amazing things when given the proper tools and guidance. She feels that process-based art allows students to value the materials and the experience, not solely the finished product.
As an educator she always prides herself in teaching students about the possibilities of trying new things, following their imaginations, and being able to not only think outside the box, but to build a new one.
